Portfolio: Renovations: Xiguacan 302

The renovation of this two bedroom, two bathroom condominuim unit took place during late 2008, early 2009.

The clients were interestested in using a more traditional mexican style with a important focus on the use of sustainable materials and products.

The green aspect of this design project allowed Saavedra to recuit state of the art LED lighting systems and high efficiency appliances. These systems, coupled with the handcraftsmanship of the furniture pieces, sinks, counters and bathroom features balance technology and tradition.

With careers in the food industry, the kitchen and entertaining areas were important features. The subtle yet elegant mix of marble flooring with wood accents contrast with the warm glow of the lighting systems and bold presence of the Palo de Brazil sliding doors.
